Jordan (3/3): (On Stoinis' perspective at the halfway stage) Stoin in particular tried to be as positive as possible, and he did seem to be fair. He found it quite difficult when they mixed the pace up and tried not to give you two looks at the same bowler. So, you saw the way he bowled as well, especially that last set of five in the powerplay, which I thought was a really important set and gave us momentum coming out of the powerplay as a bowling unit. But as I said before, he showed all of his experience tonight, and it was just nice to get that win. (On what worked out tonight and the massive result?) Yeah, big time. I said that to the boys at the halfway mark as well. The score didn't matter. Yes, we probably felt like we didn't get as many as we could, but to stay in the tournament, we had to find a way. Fielding was a big part of it, and also our tempo as well, just obviously with the time constraints. Obviously, I bowled a couple of wides there, which probably cost us our time in the end. So, we just try and tidy up on those things as well, on those little disciplines. Hopefully we can gather some momentum going forward.

Jordan (2/2): (On the game being even-stevens at the halfway stage) He bowled brilliantly here, and he was getting the ball to spin. It does make a difference when you take those wickets at those crucial stages. But you have to think so quickly. T20 cricket is different. Hundred-ball cricket is even faster. It's the fastest format of the game. So, a lot of times, the answer comes from a gut feel. I feel like you can't look too far ahead. You kind of try to pick a couple of bowlers that you feel can work well together, well in tandem. Obviously, Rash is a mystery spinner. I might come in a bit skiddy. So, sometimes me and him going in a set as a combination works really well. You just try to get your combinations right for every set, but you definitely can't look too far ahead. And right in that moment, as you said, Rash bowled the first set of five. Yes, he got hit for six, but after that, he showed all his experience to get over the set. (On Stoinis and his role) I'm really fortunate to have some good leaders in the dressing room, and guys who genuinely want to win. Stoinis is no different. He likes to be right in the action with the ball, with the bat, and he's a big part of the balanced side. He gives us options to sometimes play an extra seamer or an extra batter depending on conditions. And that ball he hit today to get out, it's a little bit of a look at the moment. But obviously, a brilliant catch by Donovan.

Chris Jordan | Southern Brave captain: (1/1) (On what did he say to Archer when he fumbled to concede a boundary) Yeah, a few choice words, but it seemed to work. Every ball after that was above 90. As I said before, just pleased for the boys, pleased for the fans really, because we've had a few close games. So, it was just nice to get over the line tonight. (On whether giving Rashid two successive sets to bowl him out was a straightforward decision?) Not so much. Throughout the innings, I tried not to give them two looks at a particular bowler because we have so much variety in the attack. So, I just tried to keep mixing it up. But just in that moment, Mitchell (Owen) was a big wicket, and obviously Rash is a magician. Even though he got hit for six, I thought his following-up balls were very brave, and he really showed his experience in that moment. (On Rashid's bowling and fielding tonight) Brilliant. Rash is a winner, and obviously he can be very unassuming at times. But when he's in the dressing room, he's a real leader and he's a winner. He always wants the ball in tough moments. As you say, I tried to build the attack around him as much as possible and give him every opportunity to be really attacking. His bowling was brilliant, but that run-out in particular just shows his attitude towards the game.

Marcus Stoinis | Match Hero: Yeah, we're pumped. Obviously we needed that. We've had some close games and we got over the line in this one. (On his assessment of the conditions) Yeah, it's hard. I think batting first, and this was a fresh wicket today, so it's just hard to know what a good score is. Even though you might feel like it might not be the best wicket, it's still hard to convince yourself to play a certain way. So I think that's probably the struggle. I think an extra 10 runs there might have made that a lot easier. So it's not big margins. Yeah, I think that's the advantage on the other foot, that you know how to bowl on it. Obviously being around it, you sort of have an idea of what felt hard to hit, so you just try to replicate that. (On his performance with the ball) I got asked a few times if that was a slower ball, and I was like, "No, no, it wasn't actually." But look, I think on a wicket like this, it's just the consistency and maybe just some variation in how you hold the ball and things like that. Just subtle changes that I'm doing. I'm glad it's working for me, really. (On getting his ideas across and being involved in the leadership too) And then just a few Aussies in this team, so I sort of have an idea of what we might do.

21:15 Local Time, 20:15 GMT, 01:45 IST: Southern Brave hunted in pack and have come out on top. It was a slugglish surface and strokeplay wasn't easy throughout the game. Considering the conditions, 128 was a competitive total here. In response, the Brave new-ball bowlers kept it quite tight. Stoinis got the better of Clarke on the last ball of the powerplay. All the Phoenix batters struggled for rhythm as the slower deliveries gripped while the odd-one zipped through as well. Smeed tried to hit his way out after a start but perished. Post his dismissal, the hosts continued to chip away at the wickets and the pressure continued to build on the visitors. The game was running away from Phoenix but Sean Dickson hit a couple of sixes off Jordan in the penultimate set to keep his side alive. Luke Wood though held his nerve and bowled an outstanding final set to comprehensively win the game for his side.
