Fabian Allen: (Your initial reflections on that game and that win?) Yeah, it was a tight call at the end, but having said that, a win is a win. But the way the guys them bowled and the way the guys them batted is an all-round performance. I'm happy with that. (How comfortable were you at the halfway stage chasing that?) Yeah, I knew when the guys were getting, I know they're gonna bring it over. And the way the pitch played, I think it was a good wicket for batting, and yeah. (Alzarri's spell, Dhillon's knock) Yeah, I think Alzarri came in a crucial, with that crucial spell. I think he bowled brilliant, and Tajinder Singh delivered with the bat. And I'm happy for them, man. It was a good chase. (What will be your learnings as a leader going forward?) Yeah, it was a first win is always a great feeling, and I'm happy with it. And going forward, I will learn from it.

Rovman Powell: I think if we should look on the start as a batting group, you know, we felt as if we were 5-10 runs short. You know, 175 is definitely a winning score. But having said that, credit have to be given to our batting group. And also as a bowling group, we struggled in the middle overs to build that pressure that we needed to. (Did you feel that you had the right combination of bowlers and you used them well to defend that score?) Yeah, yeah, I'm pleased. You know, in hindsight, maybe a few little plans could have been better. But having said that, I think we did well. Credit have to be given to Keemo Paul, Andre Russell. I think tonight they were two of our standout bowlers. You know, fielding need a little bit of work, but it's the start of the competition, encouraging signs for a young team. (In terms of that final over, what was going through your mind?) I mean, when it come to the final over, it really wasn't our game to win. You know, we did well enough to bring it to the final ball. Having said that it's important to get over the line when you get into these situations. But credit have to be given to the guys who pushed it to the very end tonight.

Alzarri Joseph: (Tell us what worked well for you with your success with the ball?) I think it was generally just keeping it simple. You know, the wicket gave the information. So I just worked with what was working for me on the night. (Reason for his success) Yeah, I mean, after the first over, I realized there's a bit of variable bounce, a bit of true pace nature on the pitch. So, obviously, bowling from that end is a strong wind factor to my right. So if they can hit me off my length into the wind, that would be good cricket. (Have you already experienced something different in the dressing room and a different vibe with this franchise?) I mean, it's pretty good. Everyone welcomed me pretty well, and it's always good playing for my home franchise. So for me, it's about representing well. (On Tajinder's innings) Excellent. I think really and truly brought us back into the game after a bit of a slow start. So I think, he can just keep building. We had a camp before, he looked really well in the camp. So for him, I just want to keep going and keep building on this start. (Looking forward to the season?) So far, so far, it's been good. I had a bit of a break before the CPL, got some time to, you know, get rested and come with a bit of energy here.

Earlier in the evening, vital contributions from Hendricks and Powell helped the Jamaica Kingsmen post a competitive 167. Chasing the target, the Falcons suffered an early setback as Lewis fell, but Cornwall chipped in with a useful cameo before departing. Keemo Paul was responsible for dismissing both Falcons openers. However, Robinson and Tajinder Dhillon turned the game around with a crucial 64-run partnership for the third wicket. Just as the stand began to look threatening, Dre Russ stepped up to break the partnership, also reaching the milestone of 100 CPL wickets in the process. The contest went down to the wire, but the Falcons held their nerve when it mattered most. Tajinder Singh Dhillon was particularly impressive, bringing up a well-crafted fifty as he took the Falcons closer to victory. He was dismissed by Russell in the 19th over, but the Falcons got home in the final over on the final ball of the match. It was a fumble by Powell that allowed the Falcons get home. Keemo Paul also delivered a superb spell, finishing with an impressive three-wicket haul, but wasn't enough on the day for Jamaica Kingsmen.
