David Willey (2/2): (How would you take what you've learned from this particular game, take it onto the final, whoever you play?) Yeah, look, I think the blueprint with the ball is there. I think we've got to bat better, I think, that we came off there individually. I think we're really disappointed with how we batted, actually. We're a lot better than that, even on a challenging pitch. So, we will reflect on that individually and as a group, and then feet up, watch this game, see how the pitch changes and how they go about it. And then we'll come back hard this afternoon. (Plans now for the next 4-5 hours?) I think my mistress is going to pick my lad up so he can come and watch the final. So, yeah, we'll, you know, a few guys might go back to the hotel and get some food (smiles).

David Willey | PoTM | Northamptonshire captain (1/2): (On the win) Yeah, we've won games from nowhere, done in different manners, and that was another example today. We probably felt we were 15-20 short with the bat. Knew we were going to have to take early wickets and put a squeeze on, but that's the value of runs on the board in knockout cricket. (What did you say to the team at the halfway stage?) Look, it wasn't easy. The lads touched on actually pace off,top of the stumps was the challenge. We actually didn't use a lot of pace off. We tried to stay on the stumps as much as we can. There was a little bit there that made it difficult to hit through the ball. And again, you got wickets on there early doors, and the pressure comes. (On his excellent catch-assist on the boundary to dismiss Overton and the catch by Lewis McManus to dismiss Smeed) McManus's catch was actually very much like David Murphy's in 2013 to win the... And at that moment, I thought, oh, maybe it's our day. But look, we talked about, playing with our bowlers being brave, and we've got to take our chances. And that's been something we've tried throughout the competition. We still shelled one today, but take big catches in key moments, that's what's going to win you trophies.

14:01 Local Time, 13:01 GMT, 18:31 IST: Northants have knocked the defending champs out of the competition with this stunning win. 143 was never a good score on this wicket. The pitch isn't as tough as the scorecard suggests. It was a competition to see which side could bat worse. No way Somerset should have never been 12/3 - the bowling was good but wasn't unplayable. And the moment the Northants got that sniff they weren't willing to leave it easy. Will Smeed was threatening to win it single-handedly but Sales got that key wicket. The pressure was on from the Northants and David Willey took a stunner on the fence to get rid of Craig Overton. The moment Sams went the game was done. Luke Procter leaked 28 runs in the final powerplay over but when it mattered most in the penultimate over, he got rid of Sams and conceded just 2 runs in the over. To think that Somerset botched up this chase despite score 28 runs in one over is unbelievable.
