Imran Tahir (2/2): I think I did try sometimes to convince him to play the way we wanted him to. He didn’t listen! So, look, Gurbaz is one of those players who has got all the shots in the book, and he likes to play his own way. I think sometimes you have to have that faith and give him the freedom to play how he wants to play. We know that if Gurbaz plays five or six overs, the opposition will be in trouble. I think he’s been playing beautifully. He’s also been with us for a month and a half. He had to go back and play for Afghanistan against Ireland in the series they had, but he came back in form. The guy is playing a beautiful role for our team, and I just want him to play however he wants to play.

Imran Tahir (1/2): Yeah, look, I’m just very proud of the boys. We’ve been playing really good cricket in all departments. Maybe now and then we lose our grip a little bit, but then someone can always come in and be a hero, and I think that’s what the team has shown so far in our group. Like I said before, we enjoy each other’s success. When we go out there and do our work, we do it very sincerely because we know that we’re obviously representing this beautiful franchise. We’ve been supported really well, and fans come and support us from all over the world. These are the things we always have to think about and never take for granted. We’re nicely sitting at the top, but again, the next day there’s another challenge. We have to think about that, make our plans, and work out how we need to go about it. Yeah, look, he’s (Nabi) been absolutely legendary. He’s one of the best off-spinners in world cricket at the moment, and that’s the reason we got him.
He can bat, he’s a really good slip fielder, and he’s been really good at sharing his knowledge. The way he’s been bowling has been brilliant. Even from the PSL days until now, his lengths have been so good. He never really misses in any game. So, look, his performances speak for themselves. We really love having him here, and we’re really going to miss him.

Jason Holder (2/2): Like I said, the spinners were doing a really good job for me. Wanindu started with the wickets, obviously Navin came in and got some wickets as well, and Ashmead is probably the local boy here. Obviously, with the left-arm spinner against the two right-handers, we felt it was a good match-up. I felt this game would have been one where you relied on your seamers at the back end. I think the back end would have been the time for the seamers to come in and quite possibly finish the game. But again, we were probably 20–25 runs short. Had we had those runs, maybe Jeremiah would have come in and had a better scenario at the back end. Yeah, definitely looking forward to going to Barbados and playing the last game. We've had good success and we're still in the tournament. It's just a matter of closing the tournament well for us personally. I guess we've got to play the game and see how the table goes, but our first priority is to win that game.

Jason Holder (1/2): I think we were probably 20–25 runs short. On the nature of the wicket, it felt like we were always in the game with the ball. They obviously bowled well and were able to restrict us to 128, which I think was a little bit below par. I think anywhere around 145–150 would have been a decent total. Well, I mean, if a lot of us had to decide in hindsight, we'd probably make a few different decisions. But obviously, I was satisfied with the decision at the toss. As I said before, maybe just 20–25 runs short, and I think we were in the game. t's always tough defending an under-par score. I thought the bowlers gave a really good effort. They probably got off to a little bit of a flyer in the powerplay. If we had limited the boundaries and the damage in the powerplay, it would probably have been a different game. Maybe the 128 would have stretched a little bit further. I'm not sure if it would have got us across the line, but I know we could have fought a little bit better. I think we were one or two partnerships short. This kind of wicket is one where you need to have at least a couple of 40-run partnerships. Maybe not looking for 60- or 70-run partnerships, but two 40-run partnerships and trying to stretch the game a little bit further. It's not a wicket where you can come in easily and just get going from ball one. I think it's one where you have to really graft. It bounces a little bit low, so it's just one of those wickets where you've got to pay a little bit more attention and give yourself a little more time.

Mohammad Nabi, Player of the Match: This is another good game for me. In my last game, I also got wickets, so I’m always happy when I can contribute. I think we are always performing well with the ball. This year as well, bowling here, we know the conditions. We chose to bowl first and really wanted to attack with the ball. Thankfully, it was successful in a different situation for me bowling here. Yes, it depends on the situation and the captain. Sometimes he uses me in the powerplay, and sometimes in the middle overs. I can bowl all four overs as well. This year, in three games, I've bowled in the powerplay. After the powerplay, when the ball gets a little older, it depends on the situation and what is required—whether I should bowl slower or faster. It all depends on the situation. It’s a lovely franchise, and I’ve really enjoyed my time here. I’ve been here for the last month and a half in Guyana, and the team environment has been really good. Both off the field and on the field, they have supported me a lot. There are also lots of youngsters in the team. They are learning a lot, and I’ve been able to share my experience with them as well.

18:30 Local Time, 22:30 GMT, 04:00 IST: Guyana have been the side to beat this season and they once again were clinical. The first innings saw only two 30 plus partnerships and rest of the batting order just capitulated. But Gurbaz and Dindyal got 50 in no time and that set them up for the chase. They had a phase when they lost a few wickets but the rate was under control. Hope came in and batted with a sense of calm to see his team through. Nabi also contributed both with the ball and the bat. Guyana looking so tough to beat! Holder made life tough for his team as well as the bowling changes lacked clarity.
