Jofra Archer | Player of the match: [On taking four wickets for nine runs and his best bowling figures of the season] Yeah, I’m even more delighted that we got the win today. [On the bowling group and complementing the fast bowlers and spinners] Well, no, I think I complemented them because this is the first time I’ve got more than two wickets for the tournament. I think my first wicket was last game as well. So, everyone’s been bowling well. We’ve not been getting huge amount of wickets, but we’ve been definitely keeping the runs down. [On bowling plans on a surface offering support to the faster bowlers] I think we changed plans a little bit today, obviously with the big side, small side. But usually, whatever the wicket and the outfield determines what happens, what we do in the game actually. [On the nervous end to the game despite a strong bowling performance] I think they got 100 and what, 100 and a little bit and you always think that it’s going to be an easy game, but we seem to always make it harder for ourselves.
The momentum shifted again when James Coles delivered a fantastic over for the Brave, which included a spectacular run-out of Marcus Stoinis by deflecting the ball back onto the stumps at the bowler's end. Liam Livingstone fought back for the Spirit, bowling an incredibly tight spell that conceded just 5 runs off 10 balls to push the game down to the wire. Ultimately, David Miller and Tristan Stubbs kept their composure under pressure, anchoring the remainder of the chase without losing another wicket. Their partnership ensured Southern Brave crossed the finish line with three balls to spare. Stay tuned as we bring you the presentations.
20:38 Local Time, 19:38 GMT, 01:08 IST: Shaky start from Southern Brave in run chase, losing Ben McKinney in the very first over to a brilliant delivery from David Willey. Nikhil Chaudhary fell shortly after trying to force the pace, leaving the team in a spot of bother. However, Jamie Smith looked in sublime touch, batting as if on a completely different surface as he counter-attacked the bowlers with a flurry of boundaries. The London Spirit managed to pull themselves back into the contest by dismissing both Smith and Moeen Ali, tightening the screws with some disciplined bowling.
