Jason Holder: (On what pleased him the most about this evening?) Just the way we went about the run chase. It was very clinical. I thought it was an outstanding job to restrict them to 170. We got wickets at crucial stages and then wrestled the momentum back. Then we were able to put together a really controlled chase. Obviously, it was set up by the two openers, who've done a phenomenal job for us throughout the whole season. And then, obviously, Tromp - he's been very, very consistent for us in the top order. So, credit to those three. (On the run chase) Yeah, we were always comfortable. We always knew there were big overs to be had, especially on the pavilion side with the wind. Those were the overs we pretty much targeted. I think we've had a really good template here in Dallas and it's worked really well for us. We're six from six here in Dallas, so hopefully we can play a little bit more here in the future. But we head up to San Francisco tomorrow and get into the business end of the tournament. (On their approach in the playoffs) We'll see how the wicket plays. I don't think it'll be as flat as it probably was in the preliminary stage. Hopefully it's a better wicket and a good wicket for cricket. We expect a really good contest from San Francisco. They've been playing some really good cricket, so we just hope we can play our best game. (On Ali Khan's injury) Yeah, it's a groin. He had a slight strain towards the end of the innings. We'll obviously monitor him over the next couple of days, but he seems in good spirits. Hopefully we'll have him for the next game.

Matthew Tromp | Most Valuable Player: (On his approach with the bat tonight) Just trying to be as positive as I can be. That's been my motto pretty much the whole season. I've had some great chats with Watto (Shane Watson) and Bravo, and they've given me so much confidence in my game. I've just gone out there to play my natural game, and it's paying off. (On his last four innings) It's surreal, man. I put in a lot of hard work in the off-season. I was in New Zealand for six months, training and playing, and I'm glad that the hard work is finally starting to pay off a little bit. But we've still got a long way to go. We've got two big playoff games. Hopefully, we can win the first one, then the final, and lift the trophy. (On the importance of this win) Oh, it's massive. We've loved playing at this venue. We lost our two games in San Francisco, but we took a lot of learnings from those matches. I'm confident in our team, and hopefully we can go on and win the title.

Faf du Plessis: (On whether 171 was enough?) No. At some stage, I thought we were probably 20-30 runs short. On this wicket, you needed to be 180-plus to really feel ahead in the game. There were some good starts, but we didn't put together a big partnership or get those major individual contributions to set us up. Cricket never really gives you a man-of-the-match performance every game, but I definitely felt we were about 20 runs short. (On not able to take wickets in the first 10 overs) Credit to their top order. I mean, we showed a lot of character, scratching away right until the end. Our boys were brilliant and the fielding was fantastic. They tried really hard. We had one dropped chance in the field. I think it's the fourth game in a row where we've put down one chance, and that just makes those close contests slip away. Unfortunately, we're not doing the small things well enough. (Reflections on the season) Yeah, it's disappointing. I thought throughout the season we were very consistent in the way we played. As a team, we were very accurate in the way we did things. It felt like we were operating at about 70-80%, but at crucial moments, we kept losing those key moments. I thought that was a consistent theme throughout the season. In those situations, you need someone to grab the game by the scruff of the neck - whether that's putting together a big partnership and scoring 70-plus, or with the ball, just closing the game out. There were three or four occasions where we took the game right to the wire, and unfortunately, it just went the other way.

23:23 Local Time, 04:23 GMT, 09:53 IST: The Knight Riders win three games in a row to finish on the second position on the points table in the league stage. They have been really consistent towards the business end of the tournament. Ranjane's measured fifty took TSK to a fighting total but it was probably 15-20 runs short on a good batting surface. Munro's brisk start allowed LAKR to keep the run-rate in check although Fletcher was struggling for rhythm at the other end. Their 87-run opening stand set up a strong foundation. But three wickets fell in quick succession including that of the well-set Munro and that gave the Super Kings a glimmer of hope. Tromp though batted fluently from the word go and found the boundaries when needed to raise another fifty this season. Powell wasn't able to time the ball well but he gave Tromp support and the duo's 64-run stand pushed LAKR into the driver's seat. Powell holed out in the penultimate over. Tromp along with Holder ensured there were no further hiccups and took their side home with five balls to spare.
