Bjorn Fortuin | South African skipper: [On the win and bouncing back quickly] Very nice to bounce back. Obviously, with a quick turnaround, there wasn't a lot of time to sort of dwell on the losses and the areas that we could have improved on. But it was just nice to be back out there, nice to see the boys bounce back. [On whether the two changes aided the victory] They (Maphaka and Bosch) certainly did well in their own right. I thought they read the conditions perfectly and adapted their skill set accordingly. So I'm very proud with the way that they came into the side and the impact that they had today. [On Brevis' performance] Unbelievable. It's probably one of the best hitters of a cricket ball that I've seen in a very long time. Hopefully I can keep staying on his team, and hopefully I don't have to keep playing against him too much. But it's nice to see guys express themselves, not just him, but a few other guys as well, and hopefully they can just keep going from strength to strength. [On having a couple of days off] Yeah, it does, physically more than anything. Obviously, going into the rest of the comp and the rest of the series, there are certain areas that we'd like to improve on and keep improving going into the business end of the series. So hopefully we can use these couple of days to sort of gather our minds, gather our bodies and come back stronger.

Sikandar Raza | Zimbabwe captain: When we were batting, I thought we were maybe slightly 15 runs short, and that is down to how the middle order batted. But when they came out and the way they batted, I don't think so 15 more runs could have made a difference. 160 would have been par, but that is also down to we didn't really bowl as well as we should, and then I just think that all departments didn't complement one another. So we've had enough information. I think those jitters are out of the way, so hopefully from the next game we can come out as a better unit. [On the positives] Certainly the powerplay batting was really good, and the finishing touches were good as well. I thought those two we can certainly tick off. Maru (Tadiwanashe Marumani) and Wes (Wesley Madhavere) batted well. That was a good little partnership, and also Benny (Brian Bennett) and BC (Ben Curran) at the top batted really well as well. It's the in-between part, so I think that's certainly a positive. A lot of people might just look at the figures, but I thought a lot of the boundaries came through edges as well. I thought our seamers bowled well. Also sometimes you can't fight luck, and that was also a positive. But apart from that, yeah, we'll build on this.

Dewald Brevis | Player of the Match: [On being named Player of the Match] Well, it was great to get off to a win, extremely grateful for it. And yeah, the boys did well. I think we showed some improvement, whether it's on the field, with the ball in the field, and with the bat. So extremely happy, and it's great to see us getting a win here. [On the conditions] Well, I'm enjoying it. It's a lovely ground. Today, the wicket was really nice, and it's lovely, the support, and it's just an amazing place to play cricket.

16:48 local, 14:48 GMT, 20:18 IST: After a disappointing defeat to Namibia in the series opener, South Africa have bounced back in emphatic fashion. Chasing 164 yesterday, they managed only 145 in 20 overs, and that same score was the target they were set today. The Proteas not only made amends for their bowling lapses from the previous game, but also approached the chase with far greater intent from the outset. Openers Jordan Hermann and Pretorius gave them a flying start before Dewald Brevis picked up exactly where he had left off yesterday. He launched his very first ball for six, making his intentions abundantly clear. Brevis smashed 6 sixes in a sensational 32-ball 75, making light work of the chase and steering South Africa to their first points of the series. Zimbabwe simply had no answers to Brevis once he got going. The 23-year-old was particularly severe on Cremer, who conceded 32 off his two overs, helping his side get a massive NRR boost while at it.
