PLAYER OF THE MATCH
It's a Super Saturday at the Hundred and we have the next match ready. The Welsh Fire are up against MI London at Sophia Gardens. Change tabs and enjoy all the action. For now, cheers and bye..
Mitchell Marsh | Match Hero: (On seemingly enjoying his time at The Hundred) Yeah, it's been awesome. Great bunch of lads. It was a tight game, and I get this feeling that most games are going to be pretty tight like that. So I thought the way we bowled there towards the end, a really hard end to defend, was exceptional. So, a great win to kickstart our season. (On the conditions at Headingley?) Yeah, it's a beautiful place to bat. It feels quite small at times, so hopefully we can capitalise on that as a batting group. And I love playing here, so it's great.
17:30 Local Time, 16:30 GMT, 22:00 IST: Sunrisers Leeds are off and running in this season's Hundred, but it's two losses out of two for the Brave, who will have to go back to the drawing board. 188 was always going to be a tough chase, but Brave were in it for long periods. Ben McKinney provided them a brisk start. Jamie Smith threatened to take control in the middle overs, as did Marcus Stoinis - at the 60-ball mark, they seemed to be cruising along, but Sunrisers took the strategic break and then struck twice through Abrar Ahmed. His 2 wickets for 7 runs in a set of ten balls put his team ahead, only for the Brave to recover through Tristan Stubbs. The South African was in the mood, but some superb bowling between the 81st-95th deliveries and followed by outstanding fielding meant that the home team edged out the contest. Nathan Ellis was superb with the ball and Mathew Revis was electric in the outfield. Having dragged his team back, Stubbs will probably reflect upon not being able to find the boundaries consistently towards the death. Stay tuned for the presentations..
