We are done with another roller coaster of a game. Barbados were in it at the half way mark. But Narine had other ideas. The legend of this format came good as his team needed a win at any cost. TKR survive. They are still breathing but need plenty of results to go their way in order to qualify. Barbados would feel gutted having bowled so well but their batting imploded. We will be back with more action. Switch tabs to follow more cricket that we are serving!
Nicholas Pooran (2/2): Even Goolie playing a role for us and bowling really nicely for us. And all in all, brilliant game. I think the characters in the team just stood up tonight, and that was most important for us. We're a successful franchise throughout the years, and this is one of the reasons why we fight, and we continue to believe as well, and tonight was one of the reasons. Tonight, the continuous fight obviously proved that we're still here. For us, personally, we're all disappointed. But whilst we're disappointed, we're still optimistic. We have to say the results will go in our favor, but that's not in our control for us. We're just really happy to come out and try to represent this brand as much as we can and represent the people of Trinidad and Tobago. We know we disappoint them a lot, so we just want to come out and just try to put some smiles on their face. Who knows? Cricket is a funny game, T20. A couple of games can go in our favour, and it can be in our hands at the end of the day, coming to Guyana, and we also are a very dangerous team when we come to Guyana. We have a lot of dangerous players as well. So we're not out of the tournament by any means yet. The guys are really optimistic. So let's just see how it goes, but for now we're just really happy to be together as a group.
Nicholas Pooran (1/2): Getting through wickets early, that was brilliant for us as a bowling group. I felt like, even before that, I felt like the batters, the senior players, did absorb pressure a lot. We weren't focusing too much on the scorecard. We weren't too reckless, to be honest. We just felt like, you know, we had to get a partnership there, Munro and myself there, in senior. I felt like we did all the hard work, and then we just gave it away there in the end. That's the story of the tournament for us as a batting group. And for the bowling, King (Sunil Narine), for a reason. So tonight, showing his greatness tonight. We asking him to deliver one of his epic performances for us, and that's exactly what he did. He's the greatest T20 bowler we've ever seen, and tonight he proved himself once more, which he didn't have to. And he led the way for us. Akeal came and bowled well in the powerplay there. The hero coming and bowling with some good speeds, and then Usman being economical as well, trying to attack the batsmen as much as possible.
Chris Green: I was very pleased with that first half. They've got some dangerous players that looked like they were starting to get going, and we were able to take wickets at crucial stages and restrict them to 140-odd. We felt like at halfway the wicket started to skid on, but, you know, every task is tough when you've got the skill set and dominance of Sunil Narine and Usman Tariq. They're classy bowlers. They've been doing it around the world for a long time, particularly Sunil, and we just weren't able to navigate him to the best of our ability early, and any time you lose four wickets in the power play, it makes things tough. Oh, look, I don't think it's so much about run chases. I think it's partnerships. In the two games we won, and when we have batted well, we've had really good batting partnerships, and I think the games where we've lost our way a little bit, and tonight it felt like a game of two halves. We did really well with the bowling performance, and then with the bat we just lacked partnerships. At the back end, we showed glimpses of it with that Rutherford-Shadrack partnership, and then again Rutherford and Sams, but we just weren't able to extend that, and unfortunately that needs to be done at the top of the order, not at the middle or the back end. Yeah look, thank you (to the people who turned up tonight) for coming out tonight. The atmosphere was amazing. We're gutted with our performance, but we come back, we've got to dust ourselves off, and we'll try and put in a better performance tomorrow because we definitely need to.
Sunil Narine: I think the only thing that could have happened is probably picking a wicket. So I think we tried to bowl attacking. If it goes around, so be it. But I think we were clinical in the stuff we planned, and some days it come off, and today was one. So thankful for that, and it's great to have a win. I think it's just, it started in MLC (bowling with the new ball) and it's continuing here. It's something that is probably going to keep going on and on, but it's just about trying to keep the mind as quiet as possible, and thinking about it too much sometimes is not great. But it's just to continue to bowl and try to deliver what I can. Obviously it's been a good season for me, but I think I'll give up that for the team to win more games. But in saying that, I think we have tried to forget about the losses, continue trying to come up with good performances. Sometimes it doesn't happen, but I think the group is still together and the group still wants to win cricket games.
23:51 Local Time, 03:51 GMT, 09:21 IST: TKR have been brilliant with the ball. It never seemed they had enough on the board. But they have done well with the defence. Narine led the bowling attack and Goolie gave him great company. Together they scalped 7 wickets and TKR choked the opposition by stringing in a lot of tight overs. None of the batters looked settled. Rutherford survived a chance and tried to push it for as long as he can. But he also fell and Barbados lost it by 35 runs. TKR need a lot of results to go their way if they want to qualify but they have done well to stay alive. Earlier, Pooran led the batting and scored a fine fifty. The ball did spin and bounce and did the talking for the spinners which aided the TKR unit. They went for wickets and that helped them to defend 147.

Sunil Narine to Jakeem Pollard, out Caught by Alex Hales!! Taken at long-on! Sunil Narine has four. That was a tossed up delivery, outside off, Jakeem Pollard goes for the hack across the line and that was mistimed. The man at long-on came in and takes it with elan. 4 for 12 in a must win game! TKR win this by 35 runs. They have defended a below par total with brilliance with the ball. Jakeem Pollard c Alex Hales b Sunil Narine 0(1)

Lahiru Kumara to Gudakesh Motie, out Caught by Dexter Sween!! Taken at deep cover. That should be the game for sure. That was a length delivery, Gudakesh Motie wanted to go big and only skied it. Kumara didn't have a great first spell but he has come back so well. Timing has been a problem for the batters. Only a wicket remains and TKR can see the writing is on the wall for their opponents.
