The Falcons have started their home leg with a win tonight, can the Kings close their home leg with a win tomorrow? Join us for all the action from St. Lucia as they face the Kingsmen from Jamaica. For now, cheers and bye..
Moeen Ali - Just the fact that we batted well, we played an extra batter. The partnership between Lewis and Hassan Ali was good, so was Shadab. Both made an immediate impact. Play good shots, once you're in, it's nice to play with the wind and the stuff. We stayed in the game, didn't panic and go hard too early. We can be better with the ball, the last 4-5 overs is something we're working on. We want to make this a fortress, making us hard to beat. Amazing crowd that backed us all the way.
Jason Holder - I thought it was a good game. I thought the fellas hung in there as much as they possibly could. Antigua did a good job in terms of their run chase. They pretty much kept the spinners out of the game and made it difficult for us to bowl spin. They also had left and right-hand combinations throughout the innings, which made it difficult for us, obviously as spinners, to hit the ball downwind. So it was a little bit tough trying to defend that. But I think the effort we put in with the bat was commendable. It's just a matter of us sticking together a little bit. (On the bowling combination) Antigua did a really good job of keeping our spinners out of the game. Hasaranga came in his first over and got put under pressure, and then obviously Waqar had a really good spell. I still needed a wicket-taking option. For me, it was just about trying to stretch the game as deep as I possibly could and use the seamers hard. I thought each seamer came in and gave a really good effort. But on a ground like this, with the wind, it's pretty hard to contain batters. (Gains from the match) There are a lot of positives too. We just need to find a way to pick ourselves up. It's not the ideal situation we're in, but our home leg is coming up, which is really important for us. We still have many games left in this competition. It's a matter of us staying positive and ensuring that we do the small things well. There's only one way to go. We can't put our heads down. We've got to put our heads together and find solutions to get this right. As I said before, there's still a lot of positives within the group. I think we're coming together quite nicely, but we still haven't gone over the line in the close games. When you look back, we had a few close encounters—games we could have won—but they went the other way. (On what they need to do going further) For us, we just need to hang in there, stay tight, and ensure that when we get to St Kitts, we don't repeat the same mistakes.
Shadab Khan (Man of the Match): (How does it feel to play this morning and now win a game tonight?) The last 24 hours have been crazy. I played a game yesterday, then travelled back to Islamabad before making the long journey here. I arrived around four and then played another game, so I think I'm still in a bit of jet lag. I'm not really sure how to describe it. (The wind has been very strong all night. How did you counteract that when you were batting?) I noticed the wind was very strong and the ball was travelling quickly as well. When I was bowling, I tried to bowl on a wider line because I knew the batters would go towards the wider side. When I was batting, I tried to hit the ball towards the leg side more often than not. (Tell me about your bowling now, particularly that googly and your overall four overs?). I think my line and length were the most impressive aspects. Especially on these types of tracks, you need to consistently hit a good area, and I think I varied my pace very well too.
22:50 Local Time, 02:50 GMT, 08:20 IST: A massive chase and the Falcons have won with 3 balls to spare. Dasun Shanaka set-up Patriots' charge with the bat in the death overs, but he was helpless with the ball. Did Holder make the right bowling changes? Hasaranga bowled only one over, the main pacers were used up early, leaving Shanaka with the task of bowling 2 overs in the death overs. Evin Lewis, Karmima Gore and Hassan Nawaz set-up the chase for the Falcons, but it looked like they left the middle and lower-order with too much to do. The Falcons needed 74 from the last 6 overs at the dismissal of Lewis, but Shadab, Moeen and Shamar Springer played vital cameos to power the hosts home. They did lose wickets in clusters, but they also ensured that the boundaries came regularly, eventually securing a 2nd win in the tournament. This result pushes the Falcons into the top half while the Patriots stay rooted at the bottom of the table. Presentations coming up shortly..

Waqar Salamkheil to Shamar Springer, out Caught by Dasun Shanaka!! Another twist in the tale - one shot too many and Springer falls after a breezy cameo. Was the leg-break and he didn't read the length, was shaping to slog it over mid-wicket - the ball spun away, caught the outside edge and looped towards cover. Shanaka ran in, slid forward and completed the catch. Shamar Springer c Dasun Shanaka b Waqar Salamkheil 15(6) [4s-2 6s-1]
Waqar Salamkheil to Shamar Springer, THATS OUT!! Caught!!

Waqar Salamkheil to Shamar Springer, SIX, massive, Springer is taking this game out of Patriots' reach - was the wrong 'un from Salamkheil, but it's too full and right in the slot - Springer sinks down onto his knee and then plays the slog-sweep, high over long-on for a maximum

Waqar Salamkheil to Shamar Springer, FOUR, tossed up and drifting across the right-hander, Springer looks to cut and gets a bottom-edge through Andre Fletcher's legs, runs away to the ropes and that's pushed the Falcons further ahead
Waqar Salamkheil [3.0-0-15-0] is back into the attack
19 needed off the last 2 overs - Salamkheil is back for his final over. Hasaranga has just bowled one over tonight. Oh dear! Salamkheil seems to have pulled a calf muscle and he's struggling. Hasaranga was out of the field for a while and he's back now, but not sure if he can bowl this over. Looks like more of a cramp than a pull - the Afghan mystery spinner is being looked into by the physio. We have had a lengthy hold-up in play and that's given both teams to plan their next move
